Your first appointment
At your first appointment you will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire. This form is confidential and is a legal requirement when accepting you as a new patient. During your first appointment, you will be able to discuss in detail any concerns you have regarding your dental health.
We will begin by helping you understand the current condition of your teeth and gums. Once you are happy with the proposed treatment plan, we can work with you on the skills to maintain your own dental health, and help avoid the need for frequent restorative treatment. We understand that committing to lengthy and sometimes costly treatment is often a big decision that you will need to think through carefully. We will therefore give you all the necessary information to take away.
You can make an appointment either by telephone or at the reception desk. You will find our regular appointment times on the back of this leaflet. Please indicate any specific needs you may require.
Once your initial treatment is complete we would encourage you to come back to the practice at regular intervals, so that good dental care can be maintained. We offer a postal recall system to remind you when your next check-up visit is due.
All information disclosed to our dental team is strictly confidential, and is not disclosed to anyone outside of the surgery.
